Can The Font Used In Our Cars Make Us Safer?
Drivers voluntarily expose themselves to many distractions. Whether it is texting, reading email, putting on makeup, or eating, we are taking our focus off the other cars on the road. Because of the dangerous multitasking that we are doing behind the wheel, any advancement that puts more of our focus on driving is a good thing. As it turns out, making the roads safer can be as simple as changing the font on our vehicles’ dashboard displays. Check out this recent article that explains by changing the font used on our dashboard displays, we could process information presented to us by our vehicles as much as ten percent faster. In many situations that translates into fifty feet, which could be the difference in avoiding a wreck. Hopefully these simple changes will be incorporated into our vehicles.
